The facility includes a kitchen, dormitories, recreation room, common areas, dispatch, and apparatus rooms.

Mechanical considerations specific to this occupancy included provision of rooftop HVAC systems to serve the occupied areas including separate temperature controls for the dormitories and captains areas. A central apparatus bay ventilation system along with dedicated CO sensor controlled tailpipe exhaust system to remove diesel exhaust fumes were also implemented. Also included
